Just sharing

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, 'Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

The Lord led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table..

In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew,

which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly.

They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms,

they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell. They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one...

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.

The holy man said, 'I don't understand.

'It is simple,' said the Lord. 'It requires but one skill.

You see, they have learned to feed each other.

The greedy think only of themselves.'

When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you.

Remember that Jesus will always share his

spoon with you...

Update 2 re: our 8:30pm EST prayer

Good morning. We are going to be praying for Mom again this evening at 8:30 pm EST. The Lord is already doing a marvelous work. You can even hear it in her voice over the phone. We are going to do these prayers every Monday night, as long as we have prayer warriors ready to stand with us. On that note, thank you for all of the prayers that you have already sent up, and your words of encouragement. They really mean so much.

Tonight, we are praising Him for the fact that she is feeling stronger. We are asking Him to bless the hands, minds and hearts of all of her doctors, that His healing power flow through them and we are praying for Daddy, that he be lifted up, stregthened and encouraged as he goes through this with Mom. Please pray any other prayers that you are lead to pray. Also, please feel free to pass this along to other prayer warriors.

Thank you so much. If you are able to make it, I will meet you in the prayer room tonight at 8:30 EST. :)

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

In His Love,

Kim

May the peace of the Lord be with you all.

We're back home

Well, Harlyn and I are back home now. The time in KY flew by. It seemed like it took me longer to drive there and back, than the time that I was there. When we arrived on Sunday evening, Mom was really weak, and a little sad. We talked and prayed. She cried, and I felt like it, but didn't. I held her and prayed a prayer of healing and peace. On Monday, we went to her radiation treatment (which has begun again). When we finally made it back home, I went to the grocery store to buy some organic food to replace what was already there. We are doing away with red meat and artificial sweetners. I just heard that pork isn't good either, so I will have to tell her about that next. Anyway, what I really wanted to write about was the prayer on Monday night. Praise the Lord! You could feel the Lord moving. I was a little nervous because I had never laid hands on anyone before. I prayed for the Lord to use me and flow through me. I prayed over the oil. At 8:25, Mom was calling to me to come on, so that we could pray! I prayed and, like I said, I could feel the Lord. I believe that Mom did too. It was emotional, but later, her eyes were bright and her mood was better. She got increasingly stronger from that point. Even though we had to spend most of Tuesday in the emergency room because her breathing was labored, she was in great spirits. In fact, Mom didn't even want to be there. By the time I left yesterday at 4:00, she seemed like her old self. Her voice is stronger and she believes that she has the victory. We claim it and stand on it. We are continuing to pray that she endures the chemo well, and can't wait until we can let you all know that she is in remission. Thank you for praying with us on Monday night. My aunt has suggested that we pray every Monday evening at 8:30. We will keep you posted on that. God is good, Prayer Warriors!
